I'm back

I'm back and not really sure where to start. It's been over a year since I last posted a blog. There's a lot going on in my life right now. As most of you know. the big day for Kat and I is approaching really fast, (10/26/07).  Yep, that's it, that the day when we go one step further in our relationship. We're both really excited about it and looking forward to it. She's a great girl and I'm glad she "trapped" me . No, not in that way but, in another way. Ok, that's enough for now. I'll post again soon.

What were the parents thinking???

Good day blog readers. I had an interesting day yesterday. I worked my regular shift in the morning 7-3pm and then had to work a special event at the Chevy Amphitheater. It wa a concert that was comprised of a "young" rock group called Fall Out Boy. The openinng bands were called American Rejects and I can't recall the other bands name. I guess it wasn't important. I don't know where or how they became so pupular amongst the youth of today because I've never heard of them and the concert was sold out two months ago.  Anyway I thought the band sucked and it was difficult to understand the songs that they were singing. What really pissed me off was the foul mouth that they had between their songs. I'm pretty sure that they used the "F'' word in just about every sentence that wasn't in a song. I don't know what the parents of these kidswere thinking, allowing their young early teens to early twenties attend this concert and escorting them to it and remaining there with them. I asked my kids if they ever heard of them and they didn't, thank God was all I could say.

A little warning to you blog readers out there, the band sucks and their mouths are even worse. Or maybe I'm just not used to it at concerts.

It's good Friday...

Hello to all of you who read the blogs. Not too much happening here with me. It's Good Friday and I'm at work. Fortunately they decided to make this my holiday rather than Easter. I'm finally getting paid what I'm worth at 2 1/2 times my normal rate, I was hoping there was overtime today but there is none to be had. That would be like working 40 hours in 16 hours. Things are going great with Kat an I.  We rented some dvd's last night after playing indian baseball with my kids for about 45 minutes. She sure could use the practice catching the ball.  I'll have to get her to the field with the kids more often. She took one to the chest pretty hard but wouldn't let me look at it because my kids were there.  I better keep an eye on Justin, my ten year old because he really likes and gets along with her and her him. It must be his blonde hair and blue eyes. I think that I should be safe, as far as I can tell she likes older guys, but, I might want to look into getting a BMW sometime in the near future. I will be out tonight but I think that Kat wants to stay in because she thinks it might be a little sacreligeous to go out on Good Friday. I'll miss her but not the usual bartab...lol

I hope that everyone has a great and safe Easter wekend

I'm not quite sure if anyone reads sneakin_a_peeks jokes, so I will post this one here for him.

A Poem

>> A drunk man in an Oldsmobile
>>
>> They said had run the light
>>
>> That caused the six-car pileup
>>
>> On 109 that night.
>>
>> When broken bodies lay about
>>
>> "And blood was everywhere,"
>>
>> "The sirens screamed out eulogies,"
>>
>> For death was in the air.
>>
>> "A mother, trapped inside her car,"
>>
>> Was heard above the noise;
>>
>> Her plaintive plea near split the air:
>>
>> "Oh, God, please spare my boys!"
>>
>> She fought to loose her pinned hands;
>>
>> "She struggled to get free,"
>>
>> But mangled metal held her fast
>>
>> In grim captivity.
>>
>> Her frightened eyes then focused
>>
>> "On where the back seat once had been,"
>>
>> But all she saw was broken glass and
>>
>> Two children's seats crushed in.
>>
>> Her twins were nowhere to be seen;
>>
>> "She did not hear them cry, "
>>
>> "And then she prayed they'd been thrown free, "
>>
>> "Oh, God, don't let them die! "
>>
>> Then firemen came and cut her loose, "
>>
>> "But when they searched the back, "
>>
>> "They found therein no little boys, "
>>
>> But the seat belts were intact.
>>
>> They thought the woman had gone mad
>>
>> "And was traveling alone, "
>>
>> "But when they turned to question her, "
>>
>> They discovered she was gone.
>>
>> Policemen saw her running wild
>>
>> And screaming above the noise
>>
>> "In beseeching supplication, "
>>
>> Please help me find my boys!
>>
>> They're four years old and wear blue shirts;
>>
>> "Their jeans are blue to match.""
>>
>> "One cop spoke up, ""They're in my car, "
>>
>> And they don't have a scratch.
>>
>> They said their daddy put them there
>>
>> "And gave them each a cone, "
>>
>> Then told them both to wait for Mom
>>
>> To come and take them home.
>>
>> "I've searched the area high and low, "
>>
>> But I can't find their dad.
>>
>> "He must have fled the scene, "
>>
>> "I guess, and that is very bad."
>>
>> "The mother hugged the twins and said, "
>>
>> "While wiping at a tear, "
>>
>> "He could not flee the scene, you see, "
>>
>> "For he's been dead a year."
>>
>> "The cop just looked confused and asked, "
>>
>> "Now, how can that be true? "
>>
>> "The boys said, ""Mommy, Daddy came "
>>
>> "And left a kiss for you."" "
>>
>> He told us not to worry
>>
>> "And that you would be all right, "
>>
>> And then he put us in this car with
>>
>> "The pretty, flashing light. "
>>
>> "We wanted him to stay with us, "
>>
>> "Because we miss him so, "
>>
>> "But Mommy, he just hugged us tight "
>>
>> And said he had to go.
>>
>> He said someday we'd understand
>>
>> "And told us not to fuss, "
>>
>> "And he said to tell you, Mommy, "
>>
>> "He's watching over us."
>>
>> The mother knew without a doubt
>>
>> "That what they spoke was true, "
>>
>> "For she recalled their dad's last words, "
>>
>> " I will watch over you."
>>
>> The firemen's notes could not explain
>>
>> "The twisted, mangled car, "
>>
>> And how the three of them escaped
>>
>> Without a single scar.
>>
>> "But on the cop's report was scribed, "
>>
>> "In print so very fine, "
>>
>> An angel walked the beat tonight on Highway 109.
